Licensing Information
Occupational licenses are required to work as an electrician nationally. You will require a license to practice where work is carried out on electrical equipment or installations designed to operate at voltages greater than 50 V a.c. or 120 V d.c.
The Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician qualification meets part of the requirements for the issue of a Qualified Supervisors Certificate Electrician. This allows you to work unsupervised on low-voltage fixed wiring and equipment and to supervise others undertaking this work.
