1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the provision of financial support and scholarships to domestic students at Rosehill College. This policy ensures that financial barriers do not impede access to education and supports students in achieving their educational and career goals.


2. Scope

This policy applies to all domestic students enrolled or applying for enrollment in full-time or part-time accredited programs at Rosehill College who seek financial support or scholarships.


3. Definitions

  • Domestic Student: An individual who is an Australian citizen or holds Australian permanent residency.
  • Financial Support: Assistance provided in the form of tuition fee discounts.
  • Scholarship: A grant or payment made to support a student’s education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievements.

4. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for financial support or scholarships, applicants must:

  • Enrollment Status: Be applying for or currently enrolled in a full-time or part-time accredited program at Rosehill College.
  • Financial Need: Demonstrate financial need with appropriate documentation (e.g., income statements, tax returns).
  • Academic Requirements: Meet the academic admission requirements for the chosen program.
  • Non-Duplication of Support: Not be receiving other financial support that covers tuition fees in full.

5. Types of Financial Support

  • Tuition Fee Discounts:
    Discounts on tuition fees based on demonstrated financial need. Available to eligible domestic students who meet the criteria outlined in this policy.

6. Application Process

  1. Complete the Online Application
    Fill out the Tuition Fee Discount Application Form.
  2. Submit Supporting Documentation
    Upload necessary documents such as income statements, tax returns, and a personal statement detailing financial hardship.
  3. Submit the Application
    Applications should be submitted online through the college portal by the specified deadline.
  4. Review and Notification
    Applications are reviewed, and decisions are communicated via email and the online portal within 30 days of submission.

7. Assessment Process

  • Initial Review
    Applications are checked for completeness and compliance with eligibility criteria.
  • Evaluation
    The Financial Support Committee evaluates applications based on financial need and supporting documentation.
  • Decision Notification
    Applicants are notified of the outcome through email and the online portal.

8. Notification and Acceptance

If your application is approved:

  • Approval Notification
    Successful applicants will receive a notification via email and the online portal.
  • Acceptance
    Applicants must confirm acceptance by completing the Tuition Fee Discount Acceptance Form within 14 days of notification.
  • Application to Fees
    Approved discounts are applied directly to the student’s account upon enrollment.

9. Appeals Process

  • Submission of Appeal
    If an application is denied, the applicant may submit an Appeal Form within 14 days of the decision notification.
  • Review of Appeal
    The Financial Support Committee reviews the appeal.
  • Final Decision
    Decisions on appeals are communicated within 14 days of appeal submission. The decision on appeal is final.

10. Confidentiality

  • Data Protection
    All information provided during the application process is kept confidential and used solely for assessing eligibility for financial support.
  • Access to Information
    Only authorized staff involved in the assessment process have access to application details.

11. Monitoring and Reporting

  • Program Effectiveness
    The Financial Support Committee monitors the effectiveness of the financial support program and prepares an annual report on outcomes.
  • Review and Feedback
    Regular feedback is collected from students to improve the financial support program.

  • Admissions Office
    Provides information and assistance to applicants regarding the financial support policy and process.
  • Financial Support Committee
    Reviews and assesses applications, makes decisions, and handles appeals.
  • Students
    Ensure that applications and supporting documents are complete and submitted by the deadlines.
